Ondoy, a Terrible Tragedy.
In September 26, 2009, Tropical Storm Ondoy (International Codename: Ketsana) hits the Metro Manila area and surrounding provinces. Thousands of people were killed. The damage was equivalent to the damage left by Tropical Storm Erin in Oklahoma in 2007 and the death toll was equivalent to that of Hurricane Katrina in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama in 2005. If you want to contribute to helping clean up the damage or donate items to the Philippines, Vietnam, and Laos, send these items or letters to the Philippine National Red Cross (if you don't know where they are, just Google it). Thank you for your support. A tragedy and sadness rocked our family when my mom's brother - who also was me and my sister's uncle - had died during the flood. They honored a rock concert in the Philippines after him. We are all sorry for those of you who are Filipinos who lost friends and loved ones. But ever since our uncle's death, me and my family were sad. (The most depressed was Mom. She was crying so hard that my sister and I had to comfort her.) If you are a Filipino and have an account at Vespinoy.com (Philippine National Vespa Forum), you know our uncle. Thank you for helping everybody, and God bless those who are struggling in the Philippines after the storm, during the economic crisis, and the swine flu (H1N1) outbreak.
